Broadband VSAT technology - HUGHES HX
Resulting from the VSAT technology, the user network has a star or MESH topology, so it can be fully adapted in all cases to the network to be implemented by our partner. Star topology assures that disturbances at different points of the network do not affect the regular operation of the other network parts and assures this way the high availability. The Hughes HX system offers Multi-Star MESH and mobile functionality as well.
HUB
The central element of the Hughes HX system is the HUB, that establishes separate virtual transmission channels (backbone) with each remote terminal. The data traffic generated by the user ports of the terminals (VSAT) and the remote management data connections are multiplexed also into these channels. In case of star topology a backhaul connection is also the part of the telecommunication system which serves as a leased-line between the partner data communication center and Hungaro DigiTel’s premise. The data packets received from the remote sites through the satellite connection are routed to partner’s data center using this backhaul connection.
The HUB is modular, well scalable, so it can follow the changes in size of the client’s network. The central system, including the central 3.7 m antenna, offers 1:1 full redundancy to provide the highest availability.
